Stephania Kaweesakii Nova

This exemplar of caudiciform plant native to Thailand is also commonly called Stephania Kaweesakii Nova Aka Stephania Sp. Nova. It has a woody and scaly caudex with an irregular shape that performs the important function of water supply reserve, necessary to withstand even prolonged periods of drought. It is very appreciated for its large dark green leaves with clear light green veins. S. kaweesakii needs a lot of sun and is suitable to decorate any type of environment thanks to its attractive appearance.

The Stephania Kaweesakii Nova, which was just discovered in 2020 and only recently identified as a unique species, enchants with its almost circular leaves, from whose deep green surface the delicate, cream-colored leaf veins stand out in rich contrast. Like other members of the Stephania genus, it survives the winter as a bulb, but then sprouts again in the spring with beautiful tendrils.
